Joseph Moskowitz - Panama Pacific Drag
The record label describes this performance as a "Cembalom solo (Also Called 'Cembalo', 'Cymbal', and 'Dulcimer')". This is the large, central European-style hammered instrument rather than the smaller rural American-style dulcimer. Joseph Moskowitz was a Romanian immigrant who made his living by playing cymbalom in his own and other's restaurants in New York and Washington DC. One source says this piece is from an early Broadway production called "The Passing Show of 1915".

Quite an unusual song here, it's hard to describe this instrument, it sounds like a hybrid of a guitar and a piano. It sounds quite nice actually. The song itself sounds pecuilarily like 'Those Were The Days' which is interesting. Runs a tad too long.
